Why Your Lawn Needs Core Aeration
Breaks Up Compacted Soil: Our heavy Illinois clay soil often becomes "packed down," preventing water and nutrients from reaching the roots. Aeration opens up the ground so your lawn can breathe again.
Stronger, Deeper Root Systems: By creating space in the soil, roots are encouraged to grow deeper, making your grass more resistant to heat and drought during hot Midwest summers.
Natural Thatch Management: Aeration helps break down the layer of dead grass (thatch) that can suffocate your lawn and harbor pests or disease.
Maximizes Fertilizer & Water: Instead of water running off into the street, aeration ensures every drop of water and every grain of fertilizer goes directly to the root zone where it’s needed most.
Because we use a mechanical process rather than harsh chemicals to improve soil health, core aeration is 100% safe for your children and pets to enjoy the yard immediately after we finish.
